Beyonce And Jay Z Arrive In Ghana For ‘Year of Return’ Initiative
Ace American singer Beyonce and her family – including husband Jay Z, daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and her team – have arrived in Ghana for the much-acclaimed Year of Return.
The initiative is to mark the 400-years since the first slaves from Africa landed in Jamestown, Virginia, and also targets the African–Americans and other people of colour living in the diaspora who yearn to remember their roots.
Already a score of American stars are here including rapper Ludacris, actress Lupita Nyongo, rapper TI and his wife, Steve Harvey, and many more.
Beyonce and Jay Z arrive just after the singer’s mother, Tina Knowles landed yesterday.
A new photo of American singer Beyoncé has sparked speculations about her presence in Ghana.
The speculations were ignited by the environment where the “Brown Skin Girl” singer took the photo.
Two days ago, Beyoncé shared a photo of herself in new braids in a salon. She took the photo against a poster which looks like a typical Ghanaian salon.
This is why many social media users believe the 23-time Grammy-winning star is in Ghana.
